Tuna Yilmaz, M. Des., after studying business at the university, had a master of design degree on design studies. He has worked as the director of several film festivals in Turkey, Hong and Beirut; curated video programs for several events and institutions including Istanbul Design Biennial and Istanbul Museum of Modern Art.
Yilmaz also is a published writer and an award winning filmmaker. After the success of some of his projects on culture and design, he has been awarded as a cultural leader by the British Council and had the honor to bear the olympic torch before the London 2012 Olympic games in UK. He won cultural grants twice from the European Cultural Foundation.
Yilmaz has been working with several Turkish designers and brands for their film productions, photo shoots, international projects and brand management. Alongside the Tuna Yilmaz Fashion + Film Studio, he is the founder and president of Fashion Film Festival Istanbul, an annual event held in November at Zorlu Performing Arts Center since 2015.
